Game theory for cooperative users in mobile peer to peer streaming based mobile IPTV system

With the rapid development of Internet technologies, applications of IPTV service are become more and more popular. If a streaming server has to transmit streaming data to exceedingly many people concurrently and independently by IP unicast, the server may have to undergo heavy load exceeding its capability threshold. Recently suggested multicast and P2P(Peer-to-Peer)-based streaming approaches are proposed. This paper introduces a game theory based efficient P2P streaming based mobile IPTV approach for Cooperative users. Game theory is used to predict the optimum (Nash equilibrium) strategies of nodes such that their profits are maximized. Game theory is also used to provide valuable insight into the behavior of individual nodes, as well as the performance of the overall system. The proposed game theoretic resolution has several significant advantages. For example, nodes abide the regulations consciously and every node gets the maximum profit in our system. The most important thing is our system optimizes profit of all of the nodes and the whole mobile P2P network. Game theory gives us interesting insight into the overall nature of nodes’ interactions and system efficiency, and how system efficiency can be improved.
